Kind of a bullshit gotcha question.

THe pain started after she started moving furniture = she was active = she has a chance of pulling a muscle = costochondritis

Even though she is a walking talking risk factor for PE...

  • Patient with history of increased activity + localized pain to the anterior chest thatย worsens with movement, deep inspiration and cough + Tenderness to palpation of affected area = Costochondritis
  • Key idea:ย Self-limiting over a matter of weeks, but may persist for up to a year
