lindasmith462you dont need a formal assessment though. its something that can totally be diagnosed and managed by a primary care physician and only needs psych intervention if primary methods dont work. if anything you avoid early psych intervention because being labeled as a "psych" thing makes most patients resistant. +1
Conversion disorder is highly associated with other psych disorders. A full psych eval could help to identify any comorbid MDD, GAD, bipolar disorder, etc.
A previously healthy young man with recent life stressors who presents with sudden onset of blindness in one eye with a completely normal physical exam (including tests demonstrating that he can in fact see out of that eye), most consistent with conversion disorder

Am I the only one always see conversion disorder of UWORLD as reassure and follow-up. This test is giving me conversion disorder.
