No relation between the atrium (P) waves and the QRS complex means third-degree AV block (aka โ€œcompleteโ€ heart block). Symptomatic (even fatal) bradycardia can result. โ€œCannonโ€ atrial waves are prominent jugular venous pulsations that occur when the atria and ventricle contract simultaneously (which, of course, doesnโ€™t normally happen).

jbrito718  also if you just pay attention to his pulse, it tells you that contractions are strictly ventricular, so no transmission is coming from the atria at all --> complete heart block +1
