Maybe I'm reading into it too much but I thought a doctor who apologizes, then says "thank you for waiting. How can I help you today" comes off strongly dismissive of my concerns. I actually preferred the doctor who says "Our wait time has nothing to do with insurance" because that doctor at least attempts to reassure me that my concerns are unfounded. I prefer the direct doctor who addresses the issue before moving on rather than the polite doctor who doesn't actually say anything of importance.

FA2021 p276 "Thank the patient for being patient and apologize for any inconvenience. Stay away from efforts to explain the delay." So it's another ugly FA-copying Qs
