on the tampon boxes it says don't keep it in for more than 4 hours or there is a risk for Toxic shock syndrome. you're basically packing a tube full of blood great medium for staph to grow in your body!
I got this right because of the presentation, but in two days this girl has used multiple tampons and multiple pads.... That would mean at the least one tampon and one pad per day, so no tampon in longer than 24 hours. Maybe she forgot about one from the first day.
But doesnt TSS spare the mucous, so I picked Trimethoprim/sulfamethoxazole thinking it could be steven johnson syndrome, I overthought it way too much!! Stupid point to lose.

Hypotension, red rash, fever, shock = Toxic Shock Syndrome
TSS is associated with tampons.
To note - TSS is not as associated with sanitary pad use.
